DivaBiota (Innovation Incubator 4.0)

The objective of the project is to develop a formulation of an innovative cream containing a postbiotic metabolite produced by the human intestinal microbiota - urolithin A, which can be used to maintain the proper condition of human skin microbiota, and thus have a beneficial effect on skin condition. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to develop a cream formulation, prepare a prototype of the cosmetic and its manufacturing, and conduct in vitro studies documenting the impact of the product on the profile of biodiversity of skin microbiota of healthy volunteers, and the evaluation of the effect of urolithin A on the viability and function of human keratinocytes. As a result of the planned R&D work, a cosmetic formulation in the form of a cream with documented beneficial effect on the skin microbiota and cells of the outer layers of the skin will be created.
